1898- British India -Victoria Post Card - East India ( Company ) Printed and Coat of Arms

Type : British Commonwelth - India Postal History ( Stationery ) - Used - Philately

Postal Cards were introduced in India by the British administration  in1879.

East India Company 's rule had ended in 1858 ( after the First War of Independence ) BUT the Card is printed " East India " meaning East India Company and , also bears the Coat of Arms  ( two standing lions ) of the erstwhile East India Company.

The script in which thew address is written is Landay ( Rajasthani accounts were written in this style ) Address if of Chittogarh ,Mewar.

The postal deptt. has translated and written in red.
